Summary

Esta era una de las novedades que más deseaba leer "¿libro hablando de libros？ Ponme cuatro"。 Es una novela que se lee rápido， en forma de diario donde iremos acompañando a Alba en su recorrido de apertura de librería y todos las alegrías （y pormenores） que experimentará en sus inicios。Alba sentía la inquietud desde hacía un tiempo de abrir una librería， me permito citar este párrafo del libro porque me ha encantado cómo lo explica: «¿Que cómo se me ocurrió？ Las cosas no se nos ocurren， las cosa Esta era una de las novedades que más deseaba leer "¿libro hablando de libros？ Ponme cuatro"。 Es una novela que se lee rápido， en forma de diario donde iremos acompañando a Alba en su recorrido de apertura de librería y todos las alegrías （y pormenores） que experimentará en sus inicios。Alba sentía la inquietud desde hacía un tiempo de abrir una librería， me permito citar este párrafo del libro porque me ha encantado cómo lo explica: «¿Que cómo se me ocurrió？ Las cosas no se nos ocurren， las cosas se incuban， fermentan， ocupan nuestras fantasías mientras dormimos。 Las cosas avanzan por su cuenta， recorren un camino paralelo en algún lugar de nuestro interior del que no tenemos ni el más remoto conocimiento y， en un momento determinado， llaman a la puerta: aquí estamos， somos tus ideas y queremos que nos escuches。 La idea de la librería esperaba agazapada en los recovecos de aquel lugar tétrico y alegre llamado «infancia»。»。 Así pues decide hacer un crowfounding para poder empezar con su sueño， presentándolo así:«“Título: abrir una librería en una aldea （Lucignana）。tBastarían cinco euros por cada amigo de Facebook para cumplir un sueño: transmitir la pasión por la lectura a un pueblo pequeño que ni siquiera tiene escuela。 Hacer lo que hizo Juliette Binoche con el chocolate y el chili。 Montar en Lucignana， a pocos kilómetros de Garfagnana， una pequeña librería que abra seis meses al año; una casita de madera donde niños y adultos puedan elegir su propio libro y encariñarse con ese lugar mágico con vistas a las puestas de sol de los Alpes Apuanos。”»Tras unas cuantas peripecias económicas， un incendio y una tremenda pandemia mundial （COVID）; Alba logró seguir adelante con ayuda de los suyos y los habitantes de la pequeña región。 Un espacio para todo tipo de lectores y edades， la única librería del pequeño pueblo del norte de la Toscana con tan solo ciento ochenta habitantes （la mayoría mujeres）。Así， en su diario， nos irá presentando a sus clientes y sus parentescos。 Sus encargos diarios y su infancia， también "conoceremos" a su hija y su entorno。 Quizás eché en falta más literatura， no es un libro sobre libros como pensaba， sino de las vivencias de Alba Donati， las trabas y dificultades de regentar un pequeño negocio y una librería， y las muestras de solidaridad entre vecinos en tiempos difíciles。 Digamos que la literatura queda un tanto relegada， en cada partida o página del diario veremos unos cuantos títulos citados （títulos que le han encargado sus clientes） y nada más。 Puntualmente hablará o detallará algo de un libro pero diría que tres o cuatro veces como mucho。Algo positivo de esos encargos， de ese popurrí de títulos， es que he apuntado unos cuantos y que no solo habla de los típicos autores （James Joyce， Jane Austen， Emily Dickinson。。。） también cita otro menos conocidos y más contemporáneos。 En alguna ocasión habrá encargos de libros infantiles o merchandising （las cartas de tarot de autoras las he apuntado， me ha generado una necesidad）。¿Me ha decepcionado？ Un poquito porque contaba con otra cosa， también es cierto que podría ser debido a is expectativas pero eché en falta algo más。 Para ser un diario necesitaba más profundidad y conocer más a la autora del mismo， que fuera más íntimo。 En un primer momento pensé que igual se trataba de una novela feel good， pero no he acabado descartando porque （dependerá del concepto de cada uno） no he sentido esa sensación de placidez， calma o de corazón calentito。No es una mala lectura， se lee rápido y es una buena opción para pasar una tarde entretenida。 Pero creo que de aquí a unos años no la recordaré ni tampoco la releeré。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I really wanted to love this book but sadly it fell short for me。 I felt too overwhelmed with all the people mentioned and felt like some anecdotes strayed from the main plot。 I would of preferred a simpler story about her and her journey with the shop itself。 This is also not a book about a struggling to thrive shop despite being hit during the pandemic 。 The author was able to crowdfund twice to help being the bookshop to life。
